(Djibouti, 13/10/2024) – Djibouti Ports Corridor Road SA (DPCR SA) and RapidCanvas have announced the launch of their joint project, “DPCR CorridorVision AI”, aimed at enhancing road infrastructure management using cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies.
This strategic partnership aligns with the Republic of Djibouti’s Vision 2035, which seeks to strengthen the country’s role as a regional logistics hub and reinforce its connections to the hinterland.
Through this innovative project, Djibouti will modernize its road infrastructure maintenance by leveraging advanced detection tools capable of identifying road degradations, such as cracks and potholes, in real time. This will enable DPCR SA to respond more quickly and efficiently, ensuring the safety and longevity of the strategic roads linking Djibouti to its regional partners, including Ethiopia.
This initiative directly supports the objectives of Vision 2035, which advocates for infrastructure modernization and improved resource management. By optimizing maintenance operations and minimizing traffic disruptions, the project will also contribute to reducing the carbon footprint associated with infrastructure upkeep.
By combining RapidCanvas’s technical expertise with DPCR SA’s experience in corridor management, this project positions Djibouti to address the challenges posed by economic growth and infrastructure sustainability.
Djibouti Ports Corridor Road SA (DPCR SA): Bridging Djibouti's state-of-the-art port infrastructure with neighboring regions, we are committed to fostering regional connectivity, economic growth, and road safety.
